Lotus 98T was a Formula One racing car designed and built by the Lotus team for the 1986 season. It was powered by a Renault turbocharged V6 engine producing around 1,000 horsepower. The 98T was driven by Ayrton Senna and Johnny Dumfries and won two races during the season. It was an evolution of the previous year's 97T, featuring improved aerodynamics and a lighter chassis. The 98T was also known for its distinctive black and gold livery, which became synonymous with Lotus in the 1980s.
